About the Role
We are seeking an Aquatic Operations Manager to join our team at the City of Etna. As a key member of our aquatic team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our swimming facility, including supervising staff, managing maintenance and repairs, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and train temporary staff, including lifeguards and swim instructors.
- Develop and implement programs to promote water safety and awareness among pool users.
- Manage pool maintenance and upkeep, including chemical treatment and equipment maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with staff, patrons, and city officials to ensure smooth operation of the facility.
- Collaborate with city officials to develop and implement policies and procedures related to aquatic operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Current certification in CPR, first aid, and lifeguarding.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
- A valid California driver's license.
