What are the responsibilities and job description for the LIFEGUARD-PT position at City of Evansville?
DUTIES:
Provides safe swimming environment. May coach and teach swim lessons or swim team. Performs pool facility related work as instructed by supervisor. Assists pool managers and head lifeguards in implementation of policies, procedures and safety rules for pool personnel and the public. Prepares accident and incident records and reports. Reacts quickly and decisively in an emergency and takes charge. Solves problems daily, calmly, and openly while maintaining efficiency and effectiveness of program offering. Communicates both verbally and in writing. Creates effective working relationships with other employees and the public. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be 15 years of age. Must be available to work a variety of shifts including weekdays and weekends. Not to exceed 39 hours per week. Must hold or be able to obtain the following certification to ensure current program offerings and safe operation of the pool: Red Cross Lifeguard Certification
