Key Responsibilities:
- Perform unskilled and semiskilled manual labor tasks to maintain and repair streets, infrastructure, right-of-way, and drainage system.
- Operate a variety of light, medium, and heavy construction, and maintenance equipment.
- Participate in the loading, hauling, and unloading of various equipment, materials, and supplies.
- Maintain overall cleanliness and proper functioning of work areas, tools, and machinery after use.
- Responsible for the general groundskeeping of city facilities including but not limited to mowing, landscaping, along with upkeeping the cities right of ways and drainage areas.
Requirements:
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License
- Valid Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License or the ability to obtain within one (1) year of hire.
- Graduation from high school or GED equivalent is required.
- Minimum of two (2 ) years of experience in construction, maintenance, and repair of roads or facilities, landscaping, heavy equipment operations, or other related trades.
