Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Sustainability Program Manager at the City of Fairfield. The Sustainability Program Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainability initiatives, managing programs to reduce environmental impact, analyzing data to measure progress, and collaborating with various stakeholders to promote sustainable practices.
The City of Fairfield has developed a Sustainability Action Plan to ensure that it is maximizing its resources in a way that provides efficiency in City operations now and in the future. This Plan, 'Fairfield Sustains', will serve as a comprehensive roadmap for addressing environmental, economic, and liveability considerations in the City, and will be a catalyst for quality-of-life improvements for all residents. The Plan considers elements such as energy usage in the community, open space preservation, resource protection, and economic sustainability initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related field; master’s degree preferred. Two or more years of sustainability program management experience or equivalent. Advanced oral and written communication skills. Valid driver’s license.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated requirements.
Salary : $55,000 - $75,000
