To be considered you will need:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• A valid Driver’s License
• State Wildland Firefighter I Certified
• Firefighter I & II certifications
• Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operations certifications
• Advanced EMT or Paramedic License
• To Maintain physical condition to perform essential duties of the job
• To pass the annual Physical Fitness Minimum Standards
• A strong desire to further your career through additional training and certifications
• To perform a variety of firefighting duties related to protecting life and property of city residents and the general public   
• To perform EMS and ambulance operations as an Advanced EMT (A-EMT) or Paramedic

• Frequent contact with other employees and the public
• Frequent sitting and standing for long periods of time
• Occasional lifting of heavy equipment
• Good vision, hearing and hand-eye coordination
• Frequent climbing, balancing, stooping and kneeling   
• Frequent exposure and great mental pressure and fatigue as a result of human behavior and emergency situations.
• Constant interaction and exposure to difficult situations, contact with the public, problem-solving and deadlines
• Exposure to emergency situations that involve dangerous and disagreeable conditions including smoke, heights, fire, stress, hazardous material, communicable diseases, excessive noise, fumes, heat, cold, water, emergency driving, etc.

Salary : $18 - $25
