This is a safety / security sensitive position for purposes of the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Amendment.

• Perform semi-skilled physical labor to maintain park amenities, trails, landscaping, green spaces, trees, shrubs, turf, and irrigation.
• Operate light and heavy-duty equipment in the construction, maintenance, and repair of park facilities.
• Mow grass and trim weeds on park grounds.
• Prune, trim or remove trees.
• Maintain equipment by cleaning and performing simple repairs.
• Pick up trash on park grounds and trails, empty trash bins and clean restrooms.
• Remove snow and ice from downtown square area and parks and trails.
• Set-up and clean-up for public events held in City parks.
• Repair vandalism and remove graffiti.
• Install holiday lights which typically involves working from aerial lifts and ladders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

To qualify for this position, the candidate must have a High School Diploma or a GED. Do you meet this requirement?

To qualify for this position, a candidate must possess a valid Driver's License. Do you meet this requirement?

The candidate must successfully pass criminal background check, including but not limited to convictions, guilty pleas, or no contest pleas to violent offenses, offenses against children, and any offense that would qualify to prevent a person from obtaining an Arkansas teaching certificate (A.C.A. 6-17-410). If selected, would you be able to meet these requirements?

The candidate is required to have the ability to effectively communicate with others orally and in writing. Do you meet this requirement?

A successful candidate must have the ability to add subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of distance.Please describe any experience (work related or other) that you have in which you have successfully performed the above types of skills.

A successful candidate must be able to operate various hand tools, mowers, bush hog, utility vehicles, trailers, tractors, backhoe, hand tools, chalker, irrigation system, scoreboard controllers, blowers, weed-eaters, trimmers, chainsaw, aerial-lift, grinder, and chipper. 8. While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively. The employee regularly is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 100 pounds. Would you be able to meet that requirement?
