Essential Job Duties

Safety / Security Sensitive Designation :
This is a safety / security sensitive position for purposes of the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Amendment and is subject to random drug and alcohol screening.
- Provide good customer service to both internal and external customers, maintain positive and effective working relationships with other City employees (especially members of their own team), and have regular and reliable attendance that is non-disruptive.
- Perform hand labor for asphalt, concrete or other material as needed.
- Operate concrete saws to make necessary cuts in order to continue work flow.
- Operate loaders, tree trimmers and other construction equipment as needed. Properly maintain assigned equipment.
- Perform traffic control - directing and flagging of vehicles.
- Mow, weed eat, trim and prune right of ways and other areas as assigned.
- Prune and remove hazardous trees as needed.
- Begin training on the use of heavy equipment such as dump trucks or backhoes, or specialized equipment such as milling machine, roller, dozer and paving machine.
- Learn to set grade, form and finish concrete for sidewalks, curb and gutter, streets and trails.
- Perform snow and ice removal during winter months.
- Install pipe as assigned.
- Operate other tools as needed : chainsaw, chipper and compacter.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
