Summer Maintenance Worker

Job Summary:
Pea Ridge School District is seeking hardworking individuals to join our Summer Maintenance Crew. This temporary position supports the district’s maintenance team with various small projects to prepare schools for the upcoming year. Duties include landscaping, painting, moving furniture, assisting with minor repairs, and other tasks as assigned. This is an excellent opportunity for students and others looking for flexible summer employment while gaining hands-on experience in facility maintenance.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Mowing and weed eating school grounds
- Painting interior and exterior surfaces
- Moving and rearranging furniture and equipment
- Changing air filters in school buildings
- Pulling wire/cable and assisting with equipment installation
- Unloading and organizing deliveries
- Assisting with floor maintenance and cleaning projects
- Performing general maintenance and light repairs as needed
- Following all safety procedures and maintaining a clean work environment
- Other duties as assigned by the maintenance team
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
- Willingness to perform physical tasks and work in outdoor conditions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to complete tasks efficiently
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive movements
- No prior maintenance experience required, but preferred
Work Schedule & Compensation:
- Flexible hours within Monday–Friday, typically between 7 AM – 4 PM
- Approx. 20-40 hours per week, depending on availability and workload
- Pay Rate: $12-20 per hour, based on experience
- Seasonal position from May 28, 2025-August 8, 2025
