Basic Function
- This is a seasonal position, ranging from 20-40 hours per week with no benefits.
- Successful applicants should expect an interview sometime between end of February - June.
- Spring Break Camp March 31st - April 4th with mandatory training on March 27th & 28th.
- Tentative Dates : Summer Camp runs 6 / 23 - 8 / 29 at Federal Way Community Center with mandatory training June 18th - 21st (subject to change depending on FWPS calendar).
- If hired, applicants should expect to work on the 4th of July, at the City's Red, White and Blues Festival.
Day Camp Leaders are essential to the Federal Way Day Camp Program. Under the direction of the Community Recreation Coordinator, Day Camp Leaders are responsible for the well-being and safety of youth (ages 4-13) at camp. Duties include coordinating and implementing engaging recreational activities for the campers and supervising campers to make sure they are safe and happy. As a representative of the Department of Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services, a uniform will be provided and must be worn during working hours.
