Rate: $15.89 hourly
General Purpose of Position
Performs administrative, office and basic accounting duties for the Finance Department.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Respond to emails from businesses and answer phone calls.
- Assist with scheduling appointments for building inspections necessary to obtain occupancy permits
- May assist with determining proper fees
- Shares all paperwork with appropriate departments
- Types and mails licenses upon approval
Assist Finance Department with additional duties may include some or all the following:
- Assist Department with ad hoc analysis and reports
- Update various monthly accounting schedules
- Assist Accounts Payable entry as needed
- Assist Coding AP invoices as needed
- Assist Monthly vendor statement reconciliations as needed
- Assist Monthly bank reconciliations as needed
- Assist with audit preparation
- Assist various Finance functions as needed; Accts Payable, Accts Receivable, Purchasing, Payroll
- Performs other duties as directed
Requirements
Education and Experience
The person in this position must have a high school diploma or its equivalent with specialized course work in office practices such as typing, bookkeeping, and filing preferred. Some accounting skills preferred but not required. Ability to effectively meet and deal with the public; ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; ability to handle stressful situations is vital for this position.
Licenses and Certifications
A valid driver’s license is preferred
