This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while ensuring the smooth operation of our compost site.
Compost site hours:
- 8:00 am until noon on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
- 8:00 am until 4:00 pm on Saturday
- Closed on Wednesdays and holidays

- Supervise all activities at the City of Fort Dodge compost site.
- Enforce rules and regulations to ensure compliance with site policies.
- Monitor dumping activities to verify adherence to site guidelines.
- Inspect incoming loads to ensure they meet acceptance criteria.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the compost site.
Applicants must be 18 years old and meet the follow requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent education;
- Ability to communicate effectively;
- Must possess a valid Iowa driver's license;
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs;
- Ability to perform tasks under varying weather conditions; and
- Performs other duties as assigned.
