Job Summary: We are looking for a hardworking and dependable Public Works Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the maintenance and repair of public infrastructure, including streets, parks, and public facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform manual labor tasks such as digging, lifting, and carrying materials.
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of streets, sidewalks, and other public infrastructure.
- Operate and maintain various tools and equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and hand tools.
- Clean and maintain public parks, playgrounds, and recreational areas.
- Assist in the installation and repair of street signs, traffic signals, and other public signage.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Respond to public inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in construction, maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of tools and equipment used in public works.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
