Key Responsibilities:
- Process voter registrations and maintain secure statewide voter registration files
- Provide accurate information to constituents about registration status, absentee ballots, and election updates
- Develop and coordinate outreach activities to boost community engagement in the voting process
- Manage the Text My Gov platform and create engaging communication materials
- Collaborate with City public relations to implement a comprehensive communication plan, emphasizing social media outreach
- Research and apply Commonwealth of Virginia regulations related to elections and voter registration
- Self-directed individuals who thrive in independent work environments
- Exceptional communicators who can engage with the public across multiple platforms
- Detail-oriented individuals who can successfully handle repetitive tasks with accuracy
- Adaptable team members who can excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, especially during election seasons
- Willingness to work weekends during elections
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Public Administration, or a related field preferred
- General knowledge of federal, state, and city election laws (training provided)
- Experience working with diverse groups and developing relationships to enhance outreach initiatives
