CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE – TRANSIT – FULL TIME
STARTING SALARY: $31,227
The City of Fredericksburg is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Customer Service Representative within the Transit Department. This position is responsible for responding to and answering inquires and obtaining information for the general public, customers, visitors, and other interested parties. Provides information regarding transit service and activities conducted in Fredericksburg Regional Transit’s service area, location of divisions within the transit department, offices and employees within the organization.
The Customer Service Representative will operate a variety of communications equipment and provides a variety of information to passengers and the general public within the transit system’s service area. Responsible for providing excellent internal and external customer service, assisting transit operators as needed, and working independently with minimal supervision.
A successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED equivalent and a minimum of two (2) years of customer service experience or related experience. Work hours may vary and may include weekends and/or evenings. This position is classified as essential.
