The City of Fresno is looking for motivated and compassionate youth and young adults who are interested in joining The PARCS Department Youth Employment Program!
Employees hired through the PARCS Youth Employment Program are required to attend paid-career preparation training workshops to enhance retention of valuable transferable employment skills.
Employees hired through the PARCS Youth Employment Program are also required to work alongside existing PARCS Department employees in a variety of recreational, operational, and/or administrative assignments in Parks and Community Centers throughout the City of Fresno.
Assignments, schedules, and reporting locations vary.
Essential duties include but are not limited to general clerical tasks, customer service, support services for special events and activities, recreation and community services, custodial, general manual labor tasks, site preparation and lite grounds keeping.
We cannot guarantee assigned locations or schedules. However, if selected/hired, every effort will be made to match employees with locations that accommodate transportation restraints and/or other workplace barriers.
Space is limited. Failure to meet hiring deadlines could result in a participant's withdrawal from the program to allow opportunities for other applicants.

Applicants that meet the minimum qualifications will be referred to the hiring department for further consideration.
Selected individuals will be required to successfully pass a PARCS Department interview, a Department of Justice fingerprint, and provide proof of Tuberculosis (TB) clearance, prior to employment with the City of Fresno. Selected individuals under the age of 18 will be required to provide a valid Permit to Employ and Work, prior to employment with the City of Fresno.
