The Seasonal Streets and Alley position is an essential role within our community services team, focusing on maintaining the cleanliness and safety of public streets and alleys. Duties
- Perform routine cleaning of streets, alleys, and public spaces to remove debris, litter, and other hazards.
- Ability to work with concrete.
- Knowledge of equipment as well as the ability to operate it, including but not limited to salt spreaders, dump trucks, trimmers & mowers.
- Assist with seasonal maintenance tasks including leaf collection, snow removal, and landscaping.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to complete assigned tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Follow all safety protocols while performing duties to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
Experience
- Previous experience in landscaping, janitorial services, or municipal maintenance is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work with concrete.
- Knowledge of equipment as well as the ability to operate it, including but not limited to salt spreaders, dump trucks, trimmers & mowers.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- A valid driver's license is required.
