The City of Glendora seeks highly motivated self-starters with strong interpersonal, communication, and marketing skills who want to gain perspective and understanding in local government. The ideal candidates will have high standards for quality work, exceptional customer services skills, a creative and technically savvy side to assist in the preparation of marketing material, be motivated to take on tasks independently with minimal direction and the ability to quickly grasp and execute new concepts and tasks as necessary.

- Develops and maintains departmental databases, records, and documentation; completes, types, copies, and files standardized documents; informs supervisor of policy and procedural activities.
- Performs as a liaison with other departments and agencies to gather and disseminates information.
- Performs research on departmental concerns; gathers and analyzes data; prepares and updates reports and correspondence; assists in the preparation and submission of grant applications, requests for proposals, and related materials.
- Assists in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures; interprets departmental rules and regulations.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Education: High school graduate or equivalent, with at least two years of college in the study of business, political science, public administration, or a related field.
Knowledge And Skills: Must have experience in MS Office Suite including but not limited to Excel, Word, and Outlook. Ability to accomplish tasks and goals with accuracy and within deadlines, listen attentively, think creatively and clearly; professionally communicate and convey information both verbally and in writing; provide excellent customer service.
