Duties will include pole painting, and electrical assistance including but not limited to cleaning camera heads, assisting with utility locates, and installation and maintenance of street lights and traffic signals. Anticipation Start Date in May working through August.

QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
Knowledge:Occupational hazards and standard safety practices related to the operation of a wide variety of light to medium equipment. Techniques and methods of equipment maintenance and minor repair.
Abilities:Learn to operate a variety of light to heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner. Learn to perform container maintenance and repair. Learn department policies and procedures. Perform arduous tasks for extended periods of time in all types of weather. Perform preventative maintenance and minor repair of a wide variety of light to heavy equipment. Understand and follow oral and written instructions. Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work. Maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities. Maintain mental capacity which allows for effective interaction and communication with others. Maintain effective audio/visual discrimination and perception to the degree necessary for the successfulClass specifications are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed by employees in the class.
