What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Assistant (Full-time) position at City of Grants Pass?
This position will support our Public Works Supervisors in the Water Distribution, Streets & Drainage and Wastewater Collections Division.
A variety of office support tasks will be performed and will include:
- Customer service hub
- Answering phones and technical questions from customers
- Preparing typed correspondence, reports and public notices
- Accounts payable coding and data entry
- Proofing documents and submittals
- Maintaining and updating various excel databases and records
This is a full-time, 40 hour week in office position. The work schedule is proposed to be Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

A High School Diploma or GED, and two years of general office experience including customer service experience are required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those in the job description.
Licensing Requirements:
- Oregon Driver’s License – Class C
- Certification of 40 words per minute at 95% accuracy keyboarding skills.
