Job Summary
The City of Grapevine Parks and Rec is on the lookout for some awesome folks to join our Aquatics team and make waves at the pool this summer! We're on the lookout for friendly, dependable individuals who can make a splash in customer service and keep the cash flowing smoothly.
Essential Functions
As the Pool Cashier, your focus will be on creating a seamless experience for our patrons by accepting admission fees, handling concessions, and keeping the cash register singing a happy tune. Join our team and become a crucial part of the aquatic fun as our Pool Cashier, where customer service is our top priority!
- Accepts and records admission fees and concession fees accurately using a cash register or other means of revenue tracking.
- Greets all customers either in person or via telephone in a timely and professional manner. Makes information on departmental programs available to customers upon request.
- Serves food for swimming pool patrons in accordance with City of Grapevine and County Health codes.
- Assists with maintaining the Aquatic facility and surrounding area.
- Assists with pool party reservations as needed.
- Prepares bank deposits and departmental records and reports.
- Is familiar with and enforces pool entrance requirements. Keeps Pool Manager notified of any customer safety concerns.
- Becomes knowledgeable of safety procedures including the emergency action plan for the swimming pool facility.
- Attends in-service training as required by the Department.
- Performs related duties as directed when such duties are a logical and appropriate assignment to the position.
- Regular and timely attendance are required for this position.
- Interacts professionally and respectfully with the public, coworkers, and others in the course of daily work.
Required Skills
- Must be at least 15 years of age.
- Individuals hired prior to the opening of the outdoor pool season will be required to attend, obtain, and maintain a Food Handler certificate.
- Those individuals hired after the outdoor pools open will not be required to obtain the Food Handler certificate and will not be permitted to work in the concession area.
- Must pass a Federal/National criminal background check.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
