Salary Range: $15.14 - 18.93 Hourly
Job Summary:
The City of Greeley is seeking a full-time, temporary Clerical Assistant to work as part of the Water & Sewer Utility Billing Department, to administer the LIFT UP and Utility Assistance Programs.
This is an hourly, seasonal clerical position working up to 40 hours per week from approximately mid-January 2025 through the end of May 2025. Responsibilities include processing customer applications for LIFT UP (previously known as the food tax rebate program) and the Utility Assistance Programs, answering customer questions, assisting customers with filing LIFT UP applications and the utility assistance program; assisting staff in sorting/filing miscellaneous accounting forms, and other duties as assigned.
Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current, valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- At least six (6) months of previous clerical experience
- Basic math skills
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe
PREFERRED:
- Bilingual in English/Spanish with demonstrated fluency preferred

- Knowledge of customer service principles and best practices, including customer needs assessments, meeting quality service standards, and evaluating customer satisfaction
- Knowledge of incident response and handling methodologies

- Assisting customers with filing LIFT UP rebate applications
- Assisting customers with filing utility assistance applications
- Processing customer applications for the LIFT UP rebate program

- Answering customer questions
- Assisting staff in sorting/filing miscellaneous accounting forms,
- Other duties as assigned
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
- Some travel may be required to deliver applications up to 10% of the time
- Must remain at fixed workstation for extended periods of time
- Primarily office environment
- Vision sufficient to perform above functions, read printed instructions
- Ability to use desktop computer, keyboard, telephone, and other common office equipment
- Vision sufficient to use computer and perform typical office tasks
- Hearing sufficiently to interact with co-workers and customers both in person and on the telephone
