Responsible for directing all Parks Fit in the Park programming and objectives under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor.

- Directs and coordinates GB Parks Fit in the Park program throughout the department including, but not limited to the various City of Green Bay Parks
- Assists in the design and implementation of program evaluations and participant tracking.
- Collaborates with community partners to achieve program initiatives.
- Solicits, organizes, and implements special guests and activities for events.
- Communicates wellness ideas with Parks, Recreation, & Forestry Department staff.
- Secures and organizes all forms and equipment. Prepares lists of necessary repairs of equipment and facilities to park crews.
- Enforces staff dress codes.
- Respond to public concerns and complaints in a mature, timely, and friendly manner consistent with department policies.
- Conducts follow-up communication with target population to help increase participation. Encourages activity tracking through logs and monitor participation minutes.
- Carries out effective methods of communication and marketing, including promotional pieces and social media.
- Visits Parks Fit in the Park program sites as frequently as schedule permits.
- Exhibits passion for individual, family, and community wellness (public health).
- Follows all policies, procedures, and the philosophy that is set forth by the City of Green Bay Parks, Recreation, & Forestry Department.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Minimum of one to three (1-3) years of supervisory experience, health and wellness experience, and/or related education.
- Experience working with the public desirable.
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license and good driving record.
- Comprehensive knowledge of health and wellness programming.
- Skill in leading special projects and initiatives.
- Ability to develop creative concepts and innovative techniques to engage and reach community members with appropriate health information.
- Ability to accept and apply constructive feedback when given. Ability to handle discipline and concerns in adverse conditions. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and evolving environment in order to effectively meet program and team needs.
- Ability to proficiently operate a computer and required software, including social media platforms, online meeting schedulers, and Google Drive.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Ability to read and perform basic calculations. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to maintain a positive public image and positive attitude. Ability to work the required hours of the position.
