Creative Kids Camp Teacher
Salary / Pay Rate: $15.00/hour to $20.67/hour, based on experience
Creative Kids Camp- Teacher (Seasonal)
Camp Format:
- Creative Kids Camp is an arts-based summer day camp at the historic Greenbelt Community Center, a New Deal landmark. Campers ages 6-12 rotate through classes in visual art, music, dance, drama and circus skills, as well as outdoor recess play and indoor quiet time. At the end of every two-week session, the camp presents a musical theater performance in the Community Center auditorium.
Job Requirements:
- Teachers teach up to six 50-minute classes in their specialty each day, tailoring each class to a different age group. There are four class periods in the morning (between 9:00 am and noon) and two class periods in the afternoon (between 1:30 pm and 3:15 pm). Each class is capped at 12-13 campers. Each class is accompanied by at least one college-age counselor, who assists the teacher by facilitating camper participation. The final day of each camp session is largely consumed by presenting the camp show for parent visitation day.

Compensation:
- Starting pay for teachers is $18.48/hour to $20.67/hour based on experience.
Camp Session Dates:
Session One: June 23 – July 3 (no camp July 4)
Session Two: July 7 – July 18
Session Three: July 21 – August 1
Session Four: August 4 – August 15
Salary : $15 - $21
