- Limited Hours: Roster employees may work up to, but no more than, 1,000 hours in a 12 month period.
- Pension System: Roster positions are not eligible for membership in the city’s pension system.

The Greensboro Parks and Recreation Department, a four-time Gold Medal Award winner, is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Aquatics Cashiers at City Pools. This position offers the chance to provide exceptional customer service while supporting a fun and safe aquatic environment.
As an Aquatics Cashier, you will:
- Greet pool patrons and handle admission fees.
- Calculate and provide change accurately while issuing receipts.
- Maintain records for reporting fees, deposits, attendance, and registrations.
- Respond to inquiries about pool hours, fees, lessons, and activities.
- Assist in routine cleaning and upkeep of the facilities.
- Exemplify the City of Greensboro’s Core Values: Honesty, Integrity, Respect, and Stewardship.
This job is Non-Exempt under FLSA.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation.
- Knowledge of safety procedures for swimming pool facilities.
- Ability to work as scheduled from mid-May through Labor Day.
- Strong communication skills, mathematical ability, and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with the public.
- Experience handling money.
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 1 month of hire).
Salary : $17
