The Recreation Specialist - Facilities assists with day-to-day operations of Parks and Recreation facilities, including managing facility rentals and coordinating facility maintenance. The Recreation Specialist - Facilities shall be chosen solely on the basis of their training and administrative qualifications in the fields of Recreation or Facilities Management. The Recreation Specialist - Facilities has the following powers and duties under the immediate supervision of the Recreation Coordinator - Aquatics and Facilities: Assists with day-to-day operations of Parks and Recreation facilities, including indoor pavilions, outdoor shelters, and recreational spaces.Manages facility rentals, including scheduling, booking, preparing rental agreements, and providing on-site support during events and activities. Coordinates facility maintenance needs by conducting regular inspections, reporting issues, and working with maintenance staff and contractors for timely repairs and upkeep.Trains, schedules, and supervises part-time staff, including site hosts and custodial personnel, ensuring high standards of customer service and operational efficiency.Collects, analyzes, and reports data related to facility usage, rental revenue, maintenance schedules, and customer feedback to help inform operational decisions and improvements.Oversees the setup and teardown of facility spaces for various events, meetings, and recreational programs, ensuring proper equipment, furnishings, and supplies are available. Maintains accurate records of facility operations, including rental agreements, maintenance logs, and incident reports. Enforces facility rules, policies, and safety procedures to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all users. Provides excellent customer service by assisting patrons with inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive facility experience. Follows all rules, regulations and ethics conduct as set forth by the Grove City Parks and Recreation Department and the City of Grove City.Performs other related duties as assigned.Obeys and promptly executes all orders of the Administrative Assistant.
