Neighborhood Services Program Specialist
Full Salary Range $36,275 – $59,280

Under general supervision, the Neighborhood Services Programs Specialist will evaluate conditions of vacant structures and implement strategies to address issues of health, safety, and blight.
Education: High School diploma or GED. Two years of college with course concentration in public administration, criminal justice, sociology or related field preferred. Successful completion of training programs in conducting inspections may substitute for the education requirement
Experience: Minimum of three years’ experience in conflict resolution, customer care, legal process, planning, code administration, or other related field. Knowledge of program administration, code administration and legal procedures preferred. Experience in presenting information to a variety of groups and interpreting and applying standards is strongly preferred. Attention to detail, ability to express findings in both written and verbal communication, demonstrated ability to work with people in difficulty situations and multi-task in a fast-paced environment are required. Computer skills required.
License & Certification: Within 12 months of employment employee must attain ICC Certification as a Property Maintenance/Housing Inspector, AMA Communication Skills Certificate or course equivalent, and successful completion of the in-house training program. Valid vehicle operator license and satisfactory driving record in accordance with City policy.
