Minimum Requirements

• Incumbents must be eighteen (18 )years of age. Graduation from high school or successful completion of the GED preferred.
• One (1) year of experience as a grounds technician, equipment operator, or in a skilled labor position preferred. Previous experience working on golf courses desirable.
• Requires the ability to understand and follow oral and written directions; ability to perform heavy outside manual labor; good interpersonal skills and good customer service skills.
• Registered Technician Pesticide License preferred.
• This position is safety sensitive and is subject to testing for alcohol and controlled substances in accordance with the City's current substance abuse policy
• Must successfully pass a background check related to this position prior to an offer of employment or promotion.

Additional Requirements

Vacancies are available at the Hamptons Golf Course. This is a part-time position and the weekly hours will be no more than 25 hours per week, and may be less .

This position requires work that is physically demanding on occasion and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds routinely, and as such requires good physical condition. I understand that this position can be physically demanding.

This position requires the performance of physical work in an outdoor setting in a variety of weather conditions, to include hot and humid weather. Are you willing to accept these conditions?

Are you willing to accept a variety of shifts (daytimes, evenings, weekends and holidays)?

I understand that if offered employment in this position, I must successfully complete pre-employment testing for controlled substances.
