The purpose of the class is to assist with a variety of tasks pertaining to the operation of the Hampton Carousel, Airpower Park and special events in Museum division of Parks, Recreation and Leisure Services (PRLS). The class works under general supervision according to set procedures.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or successful completion of a GED.
- One (1) year of experience in direct customer service required.
- Must be 18 years or older at the time of hire.
- Must successfully pass a background check prior to any offer of employment or promotion.
- Requires effective communication with internal and external customers.
- May require local travel.
- May require working beyond a standard 40-hour work week to include evenings and weekends.
- The incumbent may be considered “essential personnel” during city emergency situations, or at the direction of the City Manager or designee which may include long hours and unusual schedules.
