What are the responsibilities and job description for the Foreman, Wastewater position at City of Harlingen Waterworks System?
Position Summary
Perform supervisory and skilled work in the placement and replacement of sanitary sewer manhole ring and covers, line repair and replacement, cleaning and flushing of sewer lines, and general maintenance within the collection system. Assist in the maintenance, repair, modification and installation of specialized equipment, structures, fixtures within the wastewater system and any associated construction. The Foreman is responsible for training and supervising employees within a small work crew. Independent judgment and initiative are required in dealing with the public concerning sewer line maintenance and other sewer line problems. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Collection, Tap, and Air/TV Supervisor and is evaluated through conferences and overall efficiency of duties performed.
