The Finance Department is a critical component in City government. This position performs a variety of Account Maintenance and other accounting related tasks. Work is performed in a public environment where effective communication is a crucial part of the person’s job effectiveness. Primary responsibilities include payroll, A/P, A/R, journal entries, reconciliations, annual, quarterly & monthly reporting and budget assistance. Requires:
- Associate’s degree, certification, or equivalent training and/or education in bookkeeping, accounting, or related areas.
- Approximately 3 years’ experience working in accounting, payroll, and clerically-related functions in public sector or service organization.
- An equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that develops the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the duties of this position.
