Position Title: Recreation Leader II (Part Time)

Department: Parks and Recreation Dept.

Starting Salary: $19.95 an hour

Hours: Weekdays, Weekends, hours vary – WEEKEND AVAILABILITY IS A MUST!

Job Summary:

• Answers and routes office telephone calls
• Registers patrons, processes rentals and park permits
• Issues residents cards and pool passes
• Receives payments
• Monitors public use of the Recreation Facilities
• Assists patrons with program information
• Issues equipment for use in facility
• Assists at special events
• In the absence of full-time staff, open and close facility and coordinate staff in the event of a shortage
• Supervises part-time staff
• Assists in training of new recreation leaders
• Resolves conflicts between public, instruction, employees, etc.

Minimum Requirements:

• One year of college, one year customer service, office experience or any combination of education and experience that provides knowledge, skills, and abilities
• Previous parks & recreation experience preferred
• A valid driver’s license
• CPR certification preferred
