Position Overview

The City of Henderson announces an examination to create an eligibility list and to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of Parks and Recreation Systems Specialist in the Department of Parks and Recreation. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to one (1) year.
Under general supervision, provides a variety of detailed technology and systems support, and customer service tasks in support of the Parks & Recreation department; and performs related duties as assigned.
NOTE: Salary placement for non-represented positions is based on a comprehensive compensation review and takes into consideration the candidate's qualifications as well as internal equity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate Degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, accounting, economics, or a closely related field
- Two (2) years of full-time experience in computer hardware or software support, account management, project management, and/or customer relationship management
- Note: An equivalent combination of related education, experience, and training may be considered
- Must possess and maintain a valid Nevada or “border state” driver’ license, as defined by NRS 483
- Desirable: Experience in a corporate or enterprise environment
- Desirable: Experience with software administration or licensing
- Desirable: Customer support for a public sector/organization
