The City of Henderson announces an examination to create an eligibility list and to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of Public Response Manager in the Department of Community Development and Services. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to one (1) year.
Under general supervision, oversees and participates in the daily operations of the department’s public response functions, including the areas of code enforcement, housing and habitability inspections, short-term vacation rental programs, park rules enforcement, and zoning enforcement; performs related duties as assigned.

- City Vehicle will be assigned
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business or public administration, urban affairs, criminal justice, political science, sociology, public health, or a closely related field
- Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in planning, developing, and organizing criminal justice or community compliance programs, two (2) of which were at the supervisory or management level
- Note: An equivalent combination of related training and experience may be considered
- Must possess and maintain the following certifications:
- Certified Code Enforcement Administrator from the American Association of Code Enforcement (AACE) and/or International Code Council (ICC)
- Property Maintenance and Housing Inspector from the American Association of Code Enforcement (AACE) and/or International Code Council (ICC).
- All required licenses and certificates, as mandated by state and federal laws, or as required herein, must be obtained and maintained at incumbent’s expense as a condition of continued employment
- Must possess and maintain a valid Nevada or “border state” driver’s license, as defined by NRS 483
- Must pass a nationwide fingerprint-based record check, and a wants/warrants check
- Desirable: Master’s degree in a related field
