Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Wastewater Plant Supervisor to join our team at the City of High Point, NC. As a key member of our Public Services department, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our wastewater treatment plant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and supervise the work of wastewater treatment plant operators and staff
- Plan, organize, and schedule work activities to ensure optimal plant operations
- Train and mentor staff on operational procedures, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements
- Evaluate employee performance and provide feedback and guidance
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and City Safety Standards and Policies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or related field of study
- Minimum 2 years of water/wastewater utility operations experience
- Certifications: Grade III Wastewater Certificate and ability to obtain Grade IV Wastewater Certificate within one year of employment
