About the Role:
The City of High Point is seeking a highly motivated Water Treatment Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our Public Services department, you will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of our wastewater treatment plant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct the work of wastewater treatment plant operators and staff
- Develop and implement plans to improve plant efficiency and productivity
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with regulations and standards
- Maintain accurate records of plant operations and regulatory compliance
Requirements:
- Associate degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or related field of study supplemented by technical coursework in water/wastewater utility and engineering
- Minimum 4 years of water/wastewater utility operations experience
- Certifications: Grade III Wastewater Certificate and ability to obtain Grade IV Wastewater Certificate within one year of employment
