As a key member of our Fleet Services team, you’ll manage and oversee the technology systems within the department, ensuring smooth integration of new software, hardware, and tools. Working closely with the Assistant Director, you’ll play a crucial role in advancing technology, streamlining processes, and improving team performance. WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Manage and oversee technology usage for the Fleet Services Department.
•Researches, evaluates, and makes requests for new software, hardware, and other technology as needed.
• Provide training, troubleshoot, and assist staff with technology-related issues.
• Ensure timely execution of all manufacturers’ recalls.
• Handle potential warranty claims before vehicles are repaired or sent for external repairs.
• Collaborate directly with vehicle manufacturers to ensure appropriate warranty coverage.
• Assist in generating reports, surveys, and other data-driven documents as required by the department.
• Coordinate technical support from the IT department and external vendors.
• Assess training needs for Fleet Services and ensure all mandatory training requirements are met.
• Attend user conferences and meetings as directed by the Assistant Director.
• Research and implement training solutions to improve departmental efficiencies.
• Assist with new employee orientation.
• Oversee the city motor pools and all associated technology.
• Manage telematics for Fleet vehicles.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the department.
• Ensure all work complies with OSHA and City Safety Standards and Policies.WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Required Qualifications
• Associate’s degree in business administration, information technology. or related field,
with two (2) years of experience in an automotive environment, with a focus on training and technology OR
High School Diploma or GED equivalent with five (5) years of experience in an automotive environment, with a focus on training and technology.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication, technical, and analytical skills.
• Valid Driver’s License.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, information technology or related field.
• Five (5) years of experience in an automotive environment, with a focus on training and technology.
