Airport Seasonal General Laborer
General Description of Duties:
Perform property and equipment maintenance at the City Airport under the direction of the Airport Manager. Job responsibilities include mowing, general maintenance, and other tasks that are needed on a daily basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
These include but are not limited to the following;
- Performs maintenance and repair operations at City Airport owned facilities.
- Protect, preserve, and maintain the assets represented by the capital investment in the airport.
- Mow grass on several acres.
- Fuel aircrafts when needed.
- Performs snow and ice control operations on runways and parking lots.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in different environments.
- Ability to use discretion and maintain sensitive information.
- Operate standard office equipment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Applicant must have a good attendance record, demonstrate the ability and desire to learn the necessary skills within the job classification, have no physical impairment that would affect the performance of the job, and be available to work overtime and different shifts.
- Capabilities shall include, but not be limited to, operating various types of equipment, being able to follow instructions, and being willing and able to make decisions regarding job assignment details.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds or more.
