This position is responsible for assisting in all areas related to fitness and fitness related programs in addition to monitoring proper use of equipment, offering training advice, and motivation for youth, teens and adults.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
ESSENTIAL DUTIESAssists the Health & Wellbeing Coordinator with certifying all youth and teens for use of equipment in relations to fitness programs. Assists with conducting Physical Education class for CORE Kids and thorough inspections of all fitness equipment being used. Assists with programing and monitoring fitness equipment and activities. Assist with assessments to ensure proper training is offered to patrons. Racks weights as needed. Makes sure all areas and equipment are kept clean. Assists Health & Wellbeing Coordinator in the maintenance of equipment and troubleshoots any problems that arise with fitness equipment. Enforces all Health & Wellbeing policies and procedures. Directs all citizens to help desk for inquiries regarding other CORE departments, memberships, etc. Readily available to communicate to citizens all programs offered specifically through the Health & Wellbeing department. Assists personal trainers and fitness instructors with equipment related requests. Monitors group fitness classes and assists the instructor teaching with any fitness related questions. Attends staff meetings & trainings as scheduled. Maintains records for various fitness programs. Communicates effectively with supervisor for any concerns related to Health & Wellbeing department. Assists the Health & Wellbeing Coordinator with any related tasks. Adheres to assigned work and implements the CORE mission and philosophy. PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate controls and reach with upper and lower body and hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to balance, stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet while in the office and moderately loud when in other parts of the facility.
