About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as our City Engineer/Assistant Public Works Director. This exciting opportunity is for an individual who can lead our engineering department and oversee environmental and regulatory compliance related to public utilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Supervision: Direct and supervise the planning, design, and construction of all public and private municipal infrastructure improvements.
- Environmental Compliance: Oversee environmental and regulatory compliance related to public utilities, including support for the Water and Wastewater Departments.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other departments and officials to develop Subdivision Agreements and provide engineering support services for economic development opportunities.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field, plus five years of progressively responsible engineering experience.
- Licensure: Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Minnesota and ability to maintain certification.
- Skills: Strong leadership and supervisory skills, excellent communication and collaboration abilities, and thorough knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
