Job Description
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of multi-discipline projects and clients from the proposal process to project closeout. This includes planning, directing, and coordinating activities such as client meetings, public hearings, and public involvement events to ensure projects move forward within prescribed time frames and budgets.
You will work directly with municipal client staff to deliver CIP programs and projects, potentially on-site in a staff augmentation setting. Key responsibilities include formulating, tracking, and meeting program and project budgets and schedules, preparing or coordinating preparation of project/client correspondence and documentation.
You will also participate in and lead business development activities to new and existing clients through plans, leads, and participates in client meetings and networking events. Understanding alternative funding sources for municipal projects and ability to secure funding is essential.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited school
- Registration as a professional engineer in Minnesota (or ability to obtain registration within six months)
- ~5 years of municipal experience; preferred experience in managing municipal CIP programs and projects, clients, and staff in this market
- A history in delivering projects with positive customer service experiences
