Duties include providing crisis intervention and counseling services to victims of crime, witnesses of violent crimes and their family members, and members of the community struggling with a variety of other mental health concerns; providing emotional support and assessing safety concerns or needs resulting from victimization; providing resource and referral information to clients; leading therapy groups; and supervising graduate student interns. Duties will also include maintaining case files and statistical data, preparing reports, attending and helping with outreach events, and presenting to both the staff at IFAC and the community on counseling and trauma related topics. A fully licensed LPC or LMFT with a Master's degree and major course work in psychology, guidance and counseling, social work or a related field, with two years of experience in counseling required. Additional education in subjects related to trauma counseling and / or crisis intervention, and bilingual (English / Spanish) skills beneficial. (No LPC-Associates license or LMFT-Associates license will be considered, as this position holds supervision duties.) Hours will be between 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday. Schedule is flexible based on client need, but must be willing to work two - three evening shifts per week. All applicants will be subject to a criminal history check. A conviction for Class B misdemeanor and above may be disqualifying. Applicants must submit résumé with completed application.

The Family Advocacy Center is open from 8 : 00a.m. to 8 : 00p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 : 00 - 5 : 00 Friday.
