The City of Irving is currently seeking an engaging and productive Employee Relations and Compliance Administrator to join our Human Resources team. Duties include frequent interaction with directors, managers and supervisors to resolve complex issues (corrective action, policy clarification, leave of absence requests, discrimination and harassment complaints, etc.); overseeing the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion program, and other programs such as EEOC, ADA, FMLA, and job specific screening such as random DOT testing, exit interviews, unemployment claims, and the return to work program; and supervising one assigned staff member. Fostering trust and reliable relationships across the workforce to ensure employees have access to a convenient channel to raise concerns is an ongoing expectation of the position. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with major course work in human resources, public or business administration, organizational development or a related field of study, and four years of employee relations and compliance experience, as well as one year of supervisor or lead experience. An advanced Certificate in Human Resources Management or Employee and Labor Relations, and mediation / arbitration experience preferred. A résumé must be submitted with the application.
