RECORDS ASSISTANT - POLICE DEPARTMENT (part-time)
The Kaukauna Police Department is looking for a part-time Records Clerk to join their team.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Our Records Clerks provide clerical and administrative support to the Kaukauna Police Department. This position interacts with the public to answer and address questions and concerns, collect payment for tickets, fees, etc., route phone calls and inquiries to appropriate officers, agencies, or internal departments and to assist with records requests and background checks.
The Records Clerk will interact with all levels of the Police Department as well as with outside agencies, including, but not limited to County Sherrif's offices, municipal and county courts, Health and Human Services, Attorney's offices, DOT, FBI, Meg Unit, State of Wisconsin representatives, and other offices and agencies. This person will assist in serving officer subpoenas, coordinating court scheduling/cancellations, and will manage filing and categorizing of public and juvenile records within state policies.
This position will coordinate with the Outagamie Sheriff's Office for officers and to route complaints as needed to ensure appropriate response to calls. The Records Clerk will process accident reports and parking citations to properly document in the record management software and will coordinate with courts and DOT.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
(Knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to do the job well)
- Graduation from high school or equivalent required.
- Post high school education in Office/Clerical preferred.
- Office experience preferred, including the use of typical office equipment, technology, and software.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work under general supervision and make independent decisions.
- Ability to communicate both clearly, verbally and in writing, which includes responding to public inquires.
- Ability to think, speak and act promptly in emergency or pressure situations and remain calm.
- Ability to enter, retrieve and analyze police information quickly and accurately.
- Familiarity with Police departmental operations is desirable.
- Ability to calculation and perform basic math functions.

SCHEDULE
Monday - Friday 8 am - 1 pm
PAY RATE
$22.53 per hour
Salary : $23
