The Temporary Personal Use Fishery Cashier is a temporary entry-level position that plays a vital role in supporting the Kenai River Personal Use Fishery. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet participants and accept funds for services purchased.
- Assist participants and answer questions related to City services and facilities.
- Monitor assigned areas and ensure compliance with rules.
- Communicate and work cooperatively with other departments and employees.
- Perform general organizational and clean-up work.
- Set up facilities for City functions and special events.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Possess any combination of training and experience that provides the knowledge, skill, and ability to perform the essential job functions.
- Be available to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Work experience in customer service.
- Familiarity with the geography of the City of Kenai, including its parks and beaches.
Working Environment:
The work environment is typically indoors in a temporary structure that is heated and lighted. Ventilation is available by opening a window. The employee must work in all kinds of weather and in dirt and dust. Work is performed primarily indoors in a varied working environment, during day and night.
