Schedule: Tuesday 9-12; Wednesday 9-12; Friday 10-2; Saturday 8-1 (other hours as needed)

Distinguishing Features of the Class
An employee in this class provides direct customer service to the community. Work is primarily assisting with and facilitating library summer programs and activities at various venues, including City Parks and the Kings Mountain Farmers Market. Work will also include marketing Cultural Enrichment services to KM residents and assisting with Friday Lunch at the Patrick Senior Center. Reports to the Director of Cultural Enrichment.
Essential Duties and Tasks
- Provide excellent, positive customer service.
- Prepare and present activities at the KM Farmers Market
- Market and inform residents about KM Cultural Enrichment divisions
- Assist in preparing and presenting childrens, teens, outreach, and adult programming for library Summer Adventure program.
- Assist with Friday Lunch at Senior Services
Additional Job Duties
- May arrange art or other displays
- May work at other KMCES location as needed
- Perform related tasks as required

- Valid NC drivers license is required
Physical Requirements
Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, standing, walking, reaching, grasping, fingering, talking, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, hearing, and repetitive motions. Must be able to push/pull 100 pounds carts and lift boxes weighing up to 25 pounds. Must be able to carry 20 pounds up two flights of stairs.
Must possess the visual acuity to maintain records, read book spines, count monies, and operate a computer.
Work is performed indoors and outdoors with some programming held off site. Almost all tasks involve continuous standing. May encounter situations that involve behavioral issues. Varied work hours, including weekends and evenings, which may change periodically.
Desirable Training and Experience
Graduation from high school required and a minimum of 18 years of age.
