8:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday – Friday, overtime as required
SALARY:
$2,161.98 - $2,487.06
JOB OBJECTIVES:
Incumbent serves as Maintenance Technician for Lafayette Renew, responsible for performing repairs, and
replacement of many different types of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, pressure, and conveyor
systems.
- Operates various types of power and hand tools.
- Performs lift station checks, grass cutting, vehicle maintenance and repair and replacement of parts and
- Assists in pipe fitting, plumbing repair, installing and repairing many types and designs of wastewater pumps.
- Assists in performing preventive maintenance such as greasing, cleansing, adjusting equipment, and assists in
- Enters confined spaces safely using OSHA required methods.
- Performs activities relevant to removal, construction, and maintenance of lift stations, including loading and
- Operates portable generators, welder, oxygen acetylene torch set, jack hammers, air compressor, and boom
- Assists in any other areas as required, including sludge truck loading, and grit dumpsters.
- Overtime as required.
- Possess and maintain a valid CDL Class B Commercial Driver’s License with a tanker endorsement (N), along
with a demonstrated safe driving record.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
• High school diploma or GED required and equivalent combination of training and/or work experience in
- Ability to learn OSHA safety procedures for “Right to Know,” MSA meter, confined space entry, methane gas
- Ability to use hand shovel, hammers, hand/power saws, drills, and other related tools/equipment used in the
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and act upon verbal and written instructions, policies, and procedures
- Must be proficient using Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
