About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team at the City of Lake City, MN. As an EMT, you will be responsible for providing quality patient care in emergency situations, responding to 911 medical responses, and inter-facility transports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and Provide Care: Assess the medical needs of patients, provide immediate care as allowed by department policies and within the scope of training, and operate ambulances according to state statutes and department policies.
- Patient Transportation: Safely transport patients to and from medical facilities, demonstrating an understanding of due regard.
- Clinical Skills: Administer medications as authorized by the Medical Director or under the direction of the field paramedic, provide treatment for prevention and maintenance of signs and symptoms of shock, and perform procedures for airway control.
- Documentation and Reporting: Complete patient care reports efficiently and accurately, ensuring all reports contain proper content for billing purposes.
