Job Summary
The City of West Concord Fire Department is seeking highly skilled Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to provide daytime emergency medical response and support the daily operations of the West Concord Ambulance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide basic life support (BLS) care of patients on 911 calls.
- Transport patients safely according to medical direction and operational guidelines.
- Document patient information in electronic systems in accordance with department policies and procedures.
- Transfer care of patients to hospitals or higher-level care facilities.
- Support fire department operations during fires.
- Maintain inventory and supplies, and order or notify the Director when supplies are needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Minnesota Class D Driver's License.
- Licensed Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or higher for Minnesota.
- American Heart Association BLS Provider Certification.
- CEVO Ambulance Certification (or equivalent).
- One year experience working on an ambulance service.
- Pass a reference and criminal background check.
