What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Maintenance Worker - Cemetery position at City of Lake Forest, IL?
Description
Every day is different: Work independently and with a small tight knit team doing grounds and facility maintenance, cemetery operations, funeral services. We train use of small landscape equipment like mowers, trimmers and various hand tools.
Seasonal employment: Work stability & great hours for a morning person! Get off early before the 9-5ers. Avoid rush hours.
- 40hrs/week M-F
- 7am-3:30pm
- Overtime Saturdays 1-2x a month
- 9 months per year (Typically April-Dec)
Examples of Duties
- Operate vehicles & light trucks, unloading & loading supplies
- Funeral services involve digging graves, setting up prior to services, occasional service involvement lowering casket & vault
Qualifications
- 18 years old
- Valid driver’s license
- Sound physical condition in order to perform heavy manual work in all types of weather and operate a variety of mechanical equipment
