The Seasonal Streets Maintenance II position provides routine to semi-skilled seasonal work in the Streets Divisions. This position performs a variety of essential tasks related to the upkeep and repair of city streets and infrastructure. This role involves general maintenance duties, including asphalt patching, pothole repairs, tree trimming and removal, sign maintenance, storm sewer upkeep, and vehicle/equipment cleaning, and other duties as assigned. Responsibilities also include the safe operation, service, and maintenance of various tools and heavy equipment.
Positions available are six-months, April – October assignments. Up to 40 hours a week.

Positions that qualify as Maintenance II - Streets:
- Streets positions are available for general maintenance including asphalt patching and pothole repairs, boulevard tree trimming and removal, sign maintenance, storm sewer maintenance, and vehicle and equipment cleaning.
- Equipment operation – service, maintain and operate a variety of tools and equipment.
- All positions will be expected to perform other various duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Some knowledge of the tools, methods and materials used in general maintenance.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the public.
- Ability to operate a variety of motorized vehicles and equipment in a safe manner.
- Physical strength sufficient to do strenuous laboring tasks under varying weather conditions.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must possess valid Minnesota driver's license and have a good driving record.
- Ability to operate or ability to be trained to operate various equipment as mentioned above.
- Must be able to work Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
- Streets Maintenance II from 7:30 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.
